After intro weekend, rowers can practice the week of December 13 to learn rowing exercises, meet teammates and get to know their coaches. We are on winter break from December 19-January 9 and practice resumes January 10.

I want to start rowing before Dec 10, can I come prior to then?
NO. We follow a training plan to help prepare for races throughout the state. We need to bring in new rowers at one time to help insure every athlete get’s proper coaching
If I can’t make Dec 10, can I come in January?
There will be limited time available for learn to rows. Dec 10-11 is FREE! All other learn2row clinics will cost money. Visit www.miamirowing.org for dates and information on other learn2row opportunities
What paperwork is needed for the intro weekend?
Registration page and consent to care are the only papers needed for December 10 and 11. Full registration is needed to begin practice December 13 (packets available online).
What is the cost?
Full costs are available at www.miamirowing.org in the registration packet. Additional fees for regattas apply (est $100 for Orlando and Sarasota regattas).

When does the season end?
The last regatta for the majority of the team is state championships in Sarasota, FL the weekend of May 1. After States a limited number of rowers will be continuing on to regionals (Gainesville, GA) and nationals (Oakridge, TN)

The scholarship deadline has already passed (October 15). However some opportunities to offset regatta costs do exist. Please ask your coaches for further details.
What does my rowing tuition cost pay for?
What does my rowing tuition cost pay for?
Tuition costs help pay for our basic operating expenses like coaching, City of Miami fees, insurance, etc. Tuition does not include equipment purchases, regatta fees, racing uniforms, etc.
