CONGRATULATIONS TO MAST's GATES MILLENIUM WINNER, Jean Philip Nau!

Congratulations to Raquel Atencio for receiving the Key Biscayne Rotary Club
Paul Kopp Memorial Scholarship Award. Raquel certainly deserves this honor for her academic success and community service.  She had 309 community service hours at MAST!

Congratulations to David Tyburski and Paige Owens. Both were honored as the 2011 Scholar Athletes for MAST Academy.David Tyburski received a $1500.00 scholarship from the Orange Bowl Foundation. MAST Academy was also awarded a $1,500.00 grant from the Dade School Athletic Foundation. Paige Owens was also selected as the Miami Herald Scholar Athlete.

Congratulations to Ryan Leibowitz and Kamilah Acebal for their Honorable Mentions for Silver Knights.
We are proud of all our nominees who did an incredible job.

Alejandro Santacoloma and Ian Hoek Spaan took 2nd place in this year's FIU Wall of Wind Competition
with their design for a wind mitigating skyscraper design.  Along with 2nd place they win $250 dollars for themselves and an additional $250 for the school.

Congratulations to Julia Godinez.  She received 2nd place, $200 and a $50 Winn-Dixie gift certificate during  Kiwani’s cooking contest, March 9, 2011 in Miami, Florida.

Congratulations Florida East Coast NOSB Teams!

Congratulations to the following team members who did so well at the Florida East Coast National Ocean Science Bowl Competition last Saturday. They are:

2nd Place overall,  MAST Team I:   Sean Marks, Ian HoekSpaans, Alex Marikos, David Tyburski, and Luccas Israel

3rd Place overall,  MAST Team II:  Kevin (jellyfish) Rodriguez, Catarina Martinez, Hugo Perez, Maria Andreoli, and Megan Ely.

Congratulations to the Girl's Swim Team

Congratulations to Rachel Ling, Patricia Eidenire, Lucila Gambino, and Bettina Junghahn for making Honorable Mention in the Florida State Meet.

Congratulations to the Brain Bowl Team:

The MAST Makos Black History and Culture Brain Bowl team came in second in the Regional competition.
They did great winning every game until the final challenge.

Congratulations to MAST Academy young scientists for their performance in the Regional Science and Engineering Fair.

The recipients of Honorable Mention Award are: Keaton Scanlon and Yurimar Jaen

The Recipients of Excellence Award are: Daniela Muino, Ana Mifsud and Clarissa Trabanino; Carolina Almonacid; Carolina Giraldo and Minh Nguyen; additionally Carolina and Minh won the Psychological Society award.

And the recipient of Superior Award is Yue Yuan (Jane); Jane is also representing Miami Dade County Public School in the State Competition.
